Our Approach
The consultation begins with a review of the child's symptoms, previous medical history, available reports and imaging. Additional investigations are advised only when required. Parents are then informed about the diagnosis, treatment choices, need for surgery if any, expected hospital stay and follow-up plan.
Where surgery is necessary, the procedure is planned with attention to patient safety, pain management, recovery and post-operative monitoring. Follow-up continues after discharge to assess healing and progress.

Parents may consult the paediatric surgical team when a congenital condition is detected during pregnancy, when a newborn has difficulty feeding or passing stool, when a child develops persistent abdominal pain or swelling, or when another doctor recommends a paediatric surgical evaluation.
