About the Hospital

Yerra's Superspeciality Hospital traces its roots to 1974, when Dr. Yerra Nageswara Rao established Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Nursing Home in Guntur. The institution was founded with a commitment to dependable, accessible and personal medical care for the community.

In 2007, Dr. Yerra Rajesh joined the institution after completing specialised training in paediatric surgery. The hospital subsequently developed a stronger focus on surgical care for newborns and children and came to be known as Yerra's Superspeciality Hospital.

The hospital expanded its paediatric surgical facilities with dedicated critical-care support, diagnostic services and equipment for laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures. This enabled the team to manage a wider range of paediatric surgical and urological conditions within a focused hospital environment.

Alongside paediatric care, the obstetrics and gynaecology department led by Dr. Yerra Sandhya supports women through pregnancy, childbirth, postnatal care and other gynaecological concerns. The availability of paediatric surgical expertise within the same hospital provides additional support when a newborn requires specialised evaluation.

Today, Yerra's Superspeciality Hospital serves families from Guntur and surrounding districts. The hospital continues to combine its clinical legacy with an approach centred on careful evaluation, appropriate treatment, patient safety and clear communication with families.
